Pendimethalin is commonly used for pre and post-emergence weed control in a range of crops. Best known as Stomp, it was first introduced to the market in the 1970s, and has gone on to form the backbone of weed control strategies in a vast range of crops in the UK and across the world.
Advantages of using Stomp:
Can be easily washed off from all surfaces it comes into contact with. Cans, measuring jugs and the sprayer can be easily rinsed clean after use.
Long lasting residual activity means weeds are controlled for longer periods so in different or difficult weather conditions the farmer is free to do other jobs and be confident there is still herbicide activity.
Controls a wide range of annual grass and annual broad-leaved weeds minimising the number of different herbicide products needed.
The most concentrated formulation of PDM on the market. Less space is taken up with storing containers and it's quicker to fill up the sprayer so more time can be spent in the field.
